This archival, hand-sewn journal/sketchbook is made from 100 gsm, antique white Hahnemühle Ingres mouldmade paper from Dassel, Germany, made on the same site since 1584.It is sewn with Irish linen thread in the linked stitch pattern that was developed by the ancient Copts.This stitch allows the book to lay open easily at any page.

Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand marbled by Katherine Brett at Payhembury Papers in Migdale, Southerland, Scotland, and its spine is covered in Alran French goatskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah.

The talisman in this book is a 1925 medallion from the Féte Régionaliste du Morvan, or a regional festival in burgundy.  Let us assume some wine got drunk and spilled there.
