It is sewn with Irish linen thread in the linked stitch pattern that was developed by the ancient Copts. This stitch allows the book to lay open easily at any page.
The book’s endbands and bookmark are goatskin. Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand-marbled by Katherine Brett at Payhembury Paper in Migdale, Southland, Scotland, and the book is half-clothed in Dubletta book cloth from the Netherlands.
