This archival, hand-sewn journal/sketchbook is made from 100 gsm, white Hahnemühle Ingres mouldmade paper from Dassel, Germany, made on the same site since 1584.  It is sewn with Irish linen thread in the linked stitch pattern that was developed by the ancient Copts.  This stitch allows the book to lay open easily at any page.

The book’s endbands and bookmark are pigskin. Its boards are wrapped in a 1953 blue print from the construction of the Kyger Creek Ohio Valley Electric Plant in Cheshire, Ohio, and its spine is covered  in pigskin from Landwerlen Leathers, Indianapolis

The talisman in this book is a 1971 souvenir coin from the Indianapolis sesquicentennial.
