This archival album/scrapbook is made from 100 gsm, antique white Hahnemühle Ingres mouldmade paper from Dassel, Germany, made on the same site since 1584. It is sewn with waxed Irish linen thread in a modified pamphlet stitch that allows users to paste inclusions into the book.
The book’s endbands are French goatskin, and the bookmark is Italian calfskin. Its boards are wrapped in a 1933 souvenir map from the Chicago World’s Fair, showing the fairgrounds that were constructed for the event, and the book is half-leathered in Badalassi Italian calfskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah.
The talisman in this book is an art deco souvenir medallion from the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair celebrating “A Century of Progress.”
