Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand silk-screened in Japan in a factory where kimono silks are printed, and its spine is covered in Alran French goatskin.
The talisman in this book is a French 1969 commemorative honoring France’s allies during the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Second World War assault on Normandy. It reads: “25th Anniversaire Debarquement Forces Franco Allies Normandie 6. 6. 44, 1944-1969, 9.10.11 Mai, UAACVG.APCM&P.”
