This archival, hand-sewn journal/sketchbook is made from 100 gsm, antique white Hahnemühle Ingres mouldmade paper from Dassel, Germany, made on the same site since 1584.  It is sewn with Irish linen thread in the linked stitch pattern that was developed by the ancient Copts.  This stitch allows the book to lie open easily at any page.

The book’s endbands and bookmark are goatskin. Its boards are wrapped in a mid-20th Century tourist map of Dublin, Ireland with notations left on it by its original owner, and its spine is covered in Alran French goatskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah.

The talisman in this book is a 1994 Irish punt coin, featuring the extinct Irish elk.
