This archival album/scrapbook is made from 100 gsm, white Hahnemühle Ingres mouldmade paper from Dassel, Germany, made on the same site since 1584. It is sewn with waxed Irish linen thread in a modified pamphlet stitch that allows users to paste inclusions into the book.
The book’s boards are wrapped paper that was hand-marbled by Katherine Brett at Payhembury Papers in Migdale, Southerland, Scotland, and its spine is covered in Italian calfskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah.
The talisman in this book is a rare, early photography medal from the Association of Belgian Photograpers. It was awarded to A. Neyt. Both the face and obverse of the medal are marked Ass’ion Belge de Photographie.
