Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand-marbled by Katherine Brett for Payhembury Papers in Migdale, Southerland, Scotland, and it is half-leathered in Alran French goatskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah. The ormalu on its spine was hand-applied using tools made by Kevin Noakes in Rustington, West Sussex, England.
The talisman in this book is a French pendant from World War I. It was an Inter-Allied victory medal.
