This book’s endbands and bookmark are French goatskin. Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand-marbled by Katherine Brett at Payhembury Papers in Migdale, Southerland, Scotland, and its spine is covered in Alran French goatskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah. Its argenting was hand-applied using new tools carved by Kevin Noakes in Rustington, West Sussex, England.
The talisman in this book is a 1959 Swedish athletic medal. Its obverse reads: “12 SKIDL. 30 KM.”
