The book’s endbands and bookmark are goatskin. Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand-marbled by Betty Caponi in Monte San Giusto, Italy, and its spine is covered in Alran French goatskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah.
The talisman in this book is an award presented by the Chamber of Commerce in Riom, France in 1912. Its obverse is a bas relief of the city’s crest with the words “Ducalis, Aruernorum, Civitas, 1683,” citing its Ducal Gallic history.
