This archival, over-sized sketchbook is made from 80 gsm, white Mohawk Superfine paper.  It is sewn with Irish linen thread in linked stitch pattern that allows it to lie open readily at any page.

Its boards are wrapped in paper that was hand-marbled by Betty Caponi in Monte San Giusto, Italy and over-printed with examples of Michelangelo’s handwriting recovered in Florence, Italy.  Its spine is covered in Alran French goatskin that was processed at Rocky Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy, Utah.

The talisman in this book is a 2002, 1 Euro coin depicting Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man. Michelangelo and Leonardo were professional rivals in Renaissance Florence.
